Salary: 150,000 AMD net per month
Job Summary: The Legal Officer will be responsible for providing legal support and guidance to the FPWC in matters related to contract law, environmental law, civil lawsuits, and compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Civil Code, Land Code, and Customs Code, ensuring that all organizational activities align with legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Advisory: Provide legal advice on various issues affecting the organization, including contracts, environmental regulations, and compliance with local laws.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with partners, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure favorable terms for the organization.
- Litigation Support: Assist in managing civil lawsuits involving the organization by preparing necessary documentation and representing FPWC in court when required.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in legislation related to wildlife preservation and cultural asset protection; ensure that FPWC complies with all applicable laws.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough research on legal issues pertinent to FPWC’s mission; analyze case law and statutory developments affecting operations.
- Training & Development: Provide training sessions for staff on legal matters relevant to their roles within the organization.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments within FPWC to ensure that legal considerations are integrated into project planning and implementation.
Qualifications:
- Possession of an attorney’s license is desirable; this will be considered an advantage.
- Minimum of two years of work experience in contract law, environmental law, or civil litigation.
- Extensive knowledge of the Civil Code as well as excellent understanding of the Land Code and Customs Code.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Armenian; proficiency in English is a plus.
