Job description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrum Master with a strong background in Data Engineering. This individual will play a pivotal role in our team, bringing both Scrum expertise and data engineering knowledge to enhance our project development processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a similar field.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in software development teams.
- In-depth understanding of Scrum techniques and artifacts, including the definition of done, user stories, automated testing, and backlog refinement.
- Scrum Master certification is highly advantageous.
- Strong background in data engineering, particularly with Google Cloud Data engineering and Big Query.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data stack technologies such as Airbyte, Mage, DBT, and Terraform.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Guide and coach the team on Scrum practices and values to ensure high performance.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Assist the product owner with backlog management and prioritization of tasks.
- Promote and support agile methodologies within the organization.
- Work closely with data engineering teams on projects involving Google Cloud Data engineering, specifically Big Query.
- Utilize Modern Data Stack technologies such as Airbyte, Mage, DBT, and Terraform.
- Apply your knowledge of programming languages, particularly Python and SQL, in data engineering contexts.
- Actively identify and resolve impediments and conflicts within the team.
- Employ problem-solving techniques to address challenges and improve team dynamics.
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Employ outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
