QA Engineer (Mid+)
Job description
We are looking for a Mid+ QA Engineer who treats quality as a product, not a process. Real-money platforms have a high cost of failure, so you will be expected to independently design test strategies, shift quality considerations into requirements and design stages, and build scalable test automation as the platform grows.
Requirements
3+ years of QA Engineering experience in fast-paced web or SaaS environments. Manual testing expertise: structured test case design, equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, and exploratory testing techniques.- API testing: proficient with Postman or an equivalent tool — able to write, organise, and automate API test collections independently. Test automation: hands-on experience with at least one modern UI automation framework (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium). Writes maintainable test code rather than record-and-playback scripts. Programming fundamentals: sufficient coding ability to write and maintain automation scripts in JavaScript or .Net . CI/CD integration: experience running automated test suites within CI pipelines (GitLab CI or equivalent). Jira proficiency: comfortable with defect tracking, test cycle management, and sprint reporting in Jira. Confluence proficiency: comfortable authoring, structuring, and maintaining technical documentation in Confluence. Mobile-web testing: familiar with responsive web testing across device profiles using Chrome DevTools, BrowserStack, or physical device labs. Quality advocacy: comfortable raising quality concerns directly with developers and engineering leadership; defends decisions with evidence, not opinion. Autonomous execution: owns the QA workstream and drives it independently within each sprint. English: professional written and spoken English for documentation, bug reports, and cross-functional communication.
Responsibilities
You will own end-to-end quality across our web platform, REST APIs, and third-party integrations, working one step ahead of the development squads to ensure every story that enters a sprint is testable and every release that leaves staging is production-ready. You will play a foundational role in shaping the QA function — your decisions on test strategy, tooling, and standards will set the bar for how Rivo approaches quality going forward.
