# **Matching: ****see who fits before you open a profile.**

Each candidate gets a match score against your job, checked on its main skills, level, salary, English and employment type. Open the score to see what matched and what didn't.

## **How it works**

1. **1**### **Your job sets the bar**

   The skills, levels, salary, English and employment types on your job are what candidates are scored against.
2. **2**### **Every candidate gets a score**

   Match by job ranks the jobseeker database by it, and every chat thread shows it beside the candidate.
3. **3**### **See the breakdown**

   Open a score for the skills that matched and those that didn't, any Skill Interview results, and the salary, level, English and employment type checks.

### **How the score adds up**

Each of the job's main skills the candidate has counts, and so do their level, salary, English and employment type; a near fit counts for half. The score is the share of points they reach.

### **When it's zero**

A candidate outside your job's specialty, or more than one level away from the levels you ask for, scores 0.

### **Salary from the conversation**

In a chat, the salary check uses what the candidate asked for that job, not only their profile.

### **Read at a glance**

Under 50% is a poor match, 50 to 75% a good one, and over 75% a great one.

## **Questions employers ask**

They're outside your job's specialty, or their level is more than one step from the levels you asked for.

From 50% a match is good, and over 75% it is great; the breakdown shows why.

Yes. A profile without a specialty, level, salary, skills or employment types has no score.
