Since 1948, it bears the name of the great Armenian Enlightener and Educator Khachatur Abovyan. The methods of preparing and educating teachers have been different at different times, but one thing has remained unchanged - teachers’ mission of preserving the national identity and responsibility of ensuring a healthy and literate society, as well as the security of the country. It is with that very responsibility that Armenian State Pedagogical University has been carrying out its mission and improving its academic and educational functions for a century now.
